Social Media: an Unrealistic Highlight Reel

Having taken advantage of social media’s “highlight reel” effect myself, and to very good effect, I make the case that we should not set social media standards as normal standards. The rewards for passing the litmus of unrealistic standards is real, and a great experience. It, however, not only hurts the people outpouring the content but the people consuming it also (important part). I aim to the case that people should be realistic. In this essay, I will be sharing social media photos I had of myself shirtless because I have to provide proof of where I am coming from. If you are uncomfortable with that I advise you click off now.
